Caught Live: Indie/Alt Night

Third outing out, this time at an alternative night. Perfect for an alternative band...without an important figure behind them

Event: Indie/Alternative Night in Asosciation with Aurora Promotions
Event Date: 18th October 2008
Venue: The Travellers Rest, Lincoln
Ticket Price: Delayed Finality deal - £3 (£5 Standard. £6 on the door)
Songs Played: Why Don't You See*, Equilibrium, Project 52*, Equipment of the Futile, My Country*, Thanks For Nothing
Audience Number:
30 - 40 Approx.
Round-up: If you were there, you'd have certainly see something missing. That drum kit at the back of the stage was a bit empty. Delayed Finality, did the impossible - Played as a band WITHOUT a drummer. Jimmi, Rowan and Matt had a big job on thier hands because Sean had left (Dawn Stephenson - Aurora Promotions organiser even explained why). So since Rowan has knowledge with audio software, he used the old drum tracks and samples from the demos and uploaded them onto Jimmi's iPod as backing tracks. Problem solved. This was because they didn't want to cancel a gig. There was quite a lot of good things at this gig despite the lack of another instrumentalist. Jimmi showed off his new Vox V847 Wah pedal; Rowan put down his Tokia RG34 'Ricky' and picked up his new Squier Telecaster (which Jimmi had to later borrow for Thanks For Nothing as his own Telecater Deluxe broke a string and this was before he got his Gould GS240MTB); Matt accidentally pulled out the lights whilst Goodbye Wires were sound checking; Equilibrium wasn't a new song, it was the new name for Donderkoodal; Matt played through his new Warwick 60W Blue Cab and Last Star in the Sky and Quadrat in the Tree were taken out in favour for My Country. Played alongside Goodbye Wires, Mute, Dirty As Muck and Hooked on Cindy. Don't think the band will be playing without a drummer again though...
What the band thought: Jimmi said before the gig: Help
Rowan said before the gig: We're just going to fluke it
Jimmi said: We just fluked it
